Biography
The son of William and Elizabeth he married Pamela Letheby in 1944. His eldest son was born on VE day. They went on to have a daughter and another son.

Dennis' parents were the landlords of The Temple Inn which he took over after his father died in 1950. They also ran a small farm that Dennis worked on. In 1961 a century long family association with the pub ended when Dennis and his family left to start a fruit, flower and vegetable business at Knowle near Bristol.
He spoke very little about the war. His wife told his son that he was in the Home Guard and did something underground.
