William Oman Drummond was born to Solicitor William and Jane (nee Oman) Drummond at Craiglockhart Terrace in Edinburgh. He married Kathleen Elinor Mary Kitching on the 9 June 1938 in Edinburgh. William was listed as staying at 7 Kaimes Road, Corstorphine, Edinburgh. They had a daughter, Jill in 1945. He worked as a solicitor at Drummond & Frazer W.S. with an address of 66 George Street in 1940. He was Consul for the Netherlands in Edinburgh, Fife and East Scotland.
His service record shows he was 5 foot 8 3/4 inches tall with grey hair, brown eyes and a fresh complexion.
William died on the 25 Feb 1965, at the age of 57, at the Eastern General Hospital in Leith. His occupation was listed as Writer of the Signet (a solicitor entitled to supervise use of the King's Signet). His address was listed as 25 Merchiston Road, Edinburgh.
