The OB is situated on private woodland near Grasby which was accessed by kind permission of the owner.
The OB was constructed of breeze-block and concrete sections. The main living quarter was made bigger with insertion of a 2 foot centre.
Grasby Patrol
The rail links to Immingham and Grimsby in the area would have been a target. There was an alternative line south from Grimsby, via Louth, but the stretch between Ulceby and Barnetby is a pretty obvious bottleneck and significant for roads as well. Another likely target was Kirmington Airfield which is now Humberside Airport though that was not active until Jan 1942.
Weapons were initially hidden in the Old Vicarage at Grasby.
