Other information
Robert was in the Home Guard but we are not sure when he left to join Auxiliary Units. The tower at St Andrews Church was used by him as an observation point whilst on duty. It is very high on the hill so is an excellent lookout point. He was very proud to have etched his name in the lead in the tower of the church. He seems to have etched it twice!
