Located in Hampshire Record Office reference number 92M99. Said to have been 'found in Birmingham'. Given by Whittall Kyle of Middlecroft Lane, Gosport, to Gosport Museum. Reports relating to 1 to 21 August 1943, 24 October 1943 to 20 January 1944, 18 to 28 February 1944, and all reports following 12 March 1944, have been cut from the volume. The diary was written by Sergeant George Gatrall. Entries were signed off by Lieutenant Robert J Welch and some footnotes (in blue) were added by him.
