The touring Scout Sections of the Royal Scots conducted a training syllabus at Pitscandly House. Latterly Angus Patrols trained at Pitscandly House as it was an easier location than getting a ferry or train across the Tay estuary [no road bridge until 1966] or an even longer road route to almost Perth and then back into Fife to Melville House.
