Forres is a small farming town on main road and rail networks between Aberdeen and Inverness.

Patrol Targets

Targets would have included main road and rail links especially a bridge over the River Findhorn.

RAF stations in Forres and Kinloss. Beside Kinloss was an inland sea bay which shipping / seaplanes could have used.
