Linington was issued with a Smith & Wesson revolver serial number 5488. Both Reg and Sergeant Norman Steed of Savoy Patrol had mysterious farm farms on the same day in July 1960.
Peter Linnington, the son of Reg Linnington, remembered: “My father would dress up in his uniform, disappear, and come home very muddy and wound up.”
