Station description

The only information to date is that the Special Duties wireless was concealed in an attic in the Parish of Bishop's Clyst.

Local rumours still persist of wartime "Spies" operating out of The Malsters Arms, Frog Lane, Clyst St Mary. The licensee in 1939 and during the war was Mrs Elizabeth Westaway, she was living in the pub with her twin sons Albert and Leonard. The rooms of the pub were occupied by men recorded as Civil Air Defence. Born in 1869 she was a widow and had ran the pub after her husband Eli died in 1931.
