Station description

The wireless was concealed within a dugout located in a wood on the outskirts of Mavis Enderby. The site was located in 1998 and at this time tree roots were collapsing it. Only the entrance shaft and first room could be seen. It was built from corrugated iron and brick and described as being similar to the Donington-on-Bain OB. It is thought the site was required to relay messages from the coastal stations across the intervening hills.
