Private Donald Munro
Biography
The son of Alexander Munro, he spent time overseas in the colonies. He returned home in 1923 and was persuaded by his father to stay on at the croft and help there. His brother, Alexander Munro junior, was physically disabled and unable to manage the work. He died in April 1944.
The Air Ministry took over part of the croft for the airfield at Stornaway.
