Jeffery Farley; "Enoch Andrews was my wife's grandfather and lived at Whitegate, Forton. He died on our wedding day, March 23rd 1963. Agnes died the day before my wedding to Julie on the 23rd March 1963. Enoch was bedridden and told his son and son-in-law, when they tucked him in for the night, that he would be gone in the morning. Sure enough he finished off his crate of beer from under the bed and was found dead in bed on the Saturday morning. I was told of his passing at the wedding but told not to tell Julie till after the honeymoon by which time they were both buried in Tatworth cemetery.
His son Philip told me once of an undercover operation in the Chard area in which his father was involved but did not give me any detail - it was just a passing remark which I didn't think much of at the time!"
