Biography

WF Chalmers was art teacher at the Nicholson Institute, being appointed in Dec 1930. He played the guitar and also painted, being an active member of the Stornoway Art Club.

He married Stella Stewart at the Roman Catholic Church in Fraserburgh in July 1937.

He died suddenly at the home of his daughter Stella Reynolds in Inverness. He is buried at Tomnahurich Cemetry, Inverness.
