Station description
The wireless was concealed within a hut or box and thought to be concealed somewhere around Downend Motte and Bailey Castle near Puriton.
Downend Castle is partly within the garden of Rose Cottage which was the home of Christopher Benjamin Greenhill, the Squire of Puriton manor. He was the Commanding Officer of the Polden Home Guard company. Rose Cottage was split into two houses in the 1950s.
