Intelligence Officer Captain Anthony Quayle said of Robson that he could kill a German every day of his life and would never get caught, his field craft skills were amazing. He only had one arm. Lambert Charmichael remembered him as a quiet man, a real countryman.

Peter went for training at Coleshill where in spite of his disability he competed with men from all over the country and came out as the top marksman.

It appears he left or moved before stand down.
