Albert Charles Rosslyn Hookey

Private Albert Charles Rosslyn Hookey
16 Oct 1903 - 15 Jun 1984
Biography

He quite often used Rosslyn or Ross as his first name. He was the brother-in-law of the Shotter brothers having married their sister Daisy. He worked for Group Commander Jim Fisk at Brighstone. His brother was in the regular Home Guard platoon at Brighstone.

He went out on the Downs at night to “camp out” (probably staying in the OB). He stored hand grenades and other weapons at home beneath the family’s beds.
