Private Alfred Hunter
21 Dec 1900 - 05 Jun 1980
Biography
The nominal roll appears to record him as H. Hunter. This could be a mistake for his brother Harold. The family lived near Immingham but Harold moved and lived with his wife in Holderness near Hull during the war. Alfred married Olive Proudley in 1932.
Alfred ran his own farm as a tenant farmer on Caistor top road but lived few hundred yards from Benjamin Wright on Riby Road. He contract farmed and worked with Riggalls, Dudley Parker and Henry Robinson.
