The son of Studley and Laura Andrew and known as John he was the brother of Auxilier Clifford Andrew. He married Blanche Luscombe 18 May 1949.
The Andrew brothers certainly trained at Coleshill as their sister can remember them going away in a lorry for some weekends. For them to leave the immediate area of Ivybridge was very unusual.
