Brian married Dorothy Ann Bull 8 July 1939 in Basingstoke, Hampshire. A daughter Ann M was born Dec 1943. He is buried at Henley Road Crematorium, Caversham, Berkshire.
Before the war he was a member of the Basingstoke Fire Brigade and at his wedding to Dorothy they passed under an archway of hatches, held up by his colleagues as they left the church.
