Captain Cecil George Ford, known as Jack, was the headmaster of Ashingdon Secondary School. He was likely the first commander of the Hockley Patrol, which his son later joined, slightly under age.
Born in Dorset to Thomas and Edna, he married Eva Chapple in 1924.
