Auxilier Jim Caws recalled training sessions from a regular Army Sergeant Crawley on the Isle of Wight. This included unarmed combat. It seems likely that he was the Scout Section Sergeant, though it is not known for certain whether the East or West Hampshire section was responsible for the Isle of Wight.
