Biography

He won the City of Cardiff Science scholarship from Canton Secondary School in Mar 1915 to attend South Wales and Monmouthshire University College. He served as Pioneer 169596 in the Royal Engineers. 

On 9 Apr 1921 he was appointed as a Customs and Excise Officer. In 1925 he married Catherine Humphreys.
