Biography

David Denoon was born to house painter David Denoon and Mary on the 13th of March 1903 in Aberdeen.

Training as a teacher, he started at Mackie Academy in Stonehaven before moving to teach at Forres in 1928 and Spynie School in 1929.

He married school teacher Mary Campbell of Fordale House Lonmay who taught at Bishopmill, Elgin at West Church of St Nicholas, Aberdeen in April 1931.

In 1943, he returned to Aberdeen to teach at the King Street School in 1944, and then to the Middle School until 1951. He then moved to be deputy head at Tullos Primary from 1951 until his death on the 19th of March 1964 in Aberdeen aged 61.  His wife, Mary, also lost her sister the same day! He stayed at 201 Great Northern Road in Aberdeen.
