Career
Stan Williams from the Arreton Patrol recalled Corporal Dowling providing training in explosives to Patrol members. He was also responsible for maintaining the explosive stores and also helped in the construction of Operational Bases. It is unclear if he was posted to the Isle of Wight all of the time, or came and went from the mainland HQ at Bishops Waltham.
