The son of Charles and Carrie, he was born in Manchester, Lancashire and he died in Linlithgow, West Lothian, Scotland. In 1945 he joined the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve as a Sub Lieutenant for 3 years, then, in civilian life, he remained with the MOD/ Admiralty for the whole of his career, working in HM Dockyards including Rosyth, Gibraltar and Malta and also back in Bath with Defence Sales.
At the time of a reunion in January 1950 he is living at 103 Britton Street, Gillingham, Kent.
