Biography
The sons of Henry Charles and Clarice Crossman, Francis and Bert were brothers. He married Edith Julia Giles in 1952.

Francis was farming Fitz Farm, Teffont, Wiltshire when he was killed by crushing injuries to the chest by a rampaging bull. A farm hand, Ronald Smith tried to save him but he too was attacked.
He was a popular member of the Frome Operatic Society and was a church warden at St Katherines Church, East Woodlands.
