Known as Jack he was the son of Thomas George and Florence Dare. William Fred Dare and Frederick John Dare were next door neighbours and Wilf White a cousin. He married Peggy Rowe in 1946.
He was discharged to HM Forces 04 Mar 1943 and joined the Tank Corps.
