  Biography
              According to the Imperial War Museum Paul Davis served with the Queens Regiment before joining XII Corps Observation Unit after Dunkirk. His duties included preparing hides and training civilians in sabotage techniques. He joined the Royal Fusiliers in 1943 and served with the SAS in Europe from 1944. At some point he was transferred to Wenman’s Cottage, Cranbrook, where he took a photograph of the Scout Patrol based there.
