George was the father of Auxilier Geoffrey Randall. He married Florence Bridge in 1920. The family moved to Australia in 1925 but had returned by 1939.

A WW1 veteran he enlisted 8 Dec 1915. He was Private 3205 Welsh Guards and was promoted to Lance Corporal 14th August 1917, Corporal 24th August 1918, and Lance Sergeant 3rd January 1919. He received a gun shot wound to his right eye 1 December 1917 but re-joined his Battalion in the field 12 Jan 1918. He was awarded the 3rd Class Certificate Nov 1916 and the British and Victory Medal. He was recorded as being 5 foot 7 inches tall.
