Private George Robson

Biography
He married Margery Braithwaite on 20 Oct 1937 at Scrayingham, near Stamford Bridge. Both came from local farming families. At the time George was at Colton, near Tadcaster, and Margery at Leppington.
On 10 Jan 1950, the couple, with their five children, left for Melbourne on the P&O ship "Georgic" for a new life down under. He died in 1971 and is remembered by a memorial in Gippsland Memorial Park in the city of Latrobe, Victoria.
