Horace was the father of Auxilier Horace Jn. He was married to Mabel Alice Dobson. He was enlisted in the Royal Garrison Artillery 5 Aug 1914, service number 1660781 and in 1917 he is a Sergeant of Kent Royal Garrison Artillery. He served until 14 July 1924. In Sept 1950 he was awarded the Imperial Service Medal for his work as a skilled labourer at Sheerness Dockyard.
