Private William MacLeod
Biography
He was considered one of the best forwards in the Ness football team shortly after the war, a successful period for them.
On 17 Aug 1955 he married Maisie Edwards MacFarlane, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs Kenneth MacFarlane who lived at the Post Office in Ness. The local Girl Guides company formed a guide of honour as the bride was their captain.
In the 1950s he took part in the guga hunt on Sulusgeir, working in conjunction with orbithogists.
