Dr Eddy was a General Practitioner for over 40 years in Aldborough, Norfolk, in a practice which covered 20 parishes. He moved there in 1929. One of his hobbies was photography and for a time in the 1930s and 1940s he regularly contributed prints of local subjects to the Architectural Postal Photographic Society. Dr Eddy was also a member of the Norwich and District Photographic Society. He played cricket for the local team and was made the Captain.
