Biography
The son of Leslie and Elsie, John was the nephew of Lieutenant Malcolm Shackell. He married Barbara Jenkins in 1946.
Both John and Barbara were keen members of the Bath Young Farmers Club since it was formed in 1924. Barbara had been in the Woman's Land Army, working at Park Farm, Newton St Loe.
