Stewart Archibald was born on the 22nd of June 1920 to wood manager William Archibald and Maggie (Stewart) at Blaikiewell, Maryculter.
In the 1921 Census, the family are listed at Homewood Cottage, Keith. William is listed as a wood manager; Stewart was 11 months old.
A 1935 Valuation roll had William as a mill worker staying at Rosslyn Cottage, Culter.
William is listed as the tenant of farm and house of Patonslaw Estate, Blairs. Stewart stayed there also. The previous tenant, James Bennett moved on in April 1939.
Patonslaw is now part of Greenloanings at the side of the Hill of Blairs, it is possible the OB is on the Hill of Blairs.
In April 1942, Stewart's sister Antoinette married farm servant Leslie Bennet on Mill of Cavil, Newmachar. Stewart was a witness to the marriage at Patonslaw.
On the 18th of January 1946, William passed away at Dysart Cottage, Banchory.

Stewart Archibald passed away at home in Banchory aged 80 on the 22nd of July 2000, referring to "formerly of the Minklets (Crathes and Maryculter)". Minklets is likely to be Banchory Contractors Ltd., and late of Hall Russell the shipbuilders in Aberdeen.
