William (Bill) McDonald was born to Railway Carter John McDonald and Jane Copland on the 29th of December 1907 at 42 Broomhill Road in Aberdeen.
In the Hancock Report William is listed as MacDonald.
William (age 21) married Elsie Smith Barron on the 22nd of February 1930 at the Blackburn Church. William was listed as staying at the Tyrebagger Croft, Kinellar and was a Forester. They had one son (Hector) who was born in 1931 and passed away in 2007.
William was listed in 1940 as being a Foreman Forester. The Valuation rolls for the property show he resided there from at least 1930 to 1949.
William passed away at his home at Finella View, Pitskelly, Fordoun age 68 on the 7th Sepetember 1976. The service was at home, then at Newhills Cemetery close to where he spent his working years. Elsie passed away on the 17th of March 1987 Age 80 at Harlaw Road, Inverurie.
