Born in Cardigan to Rev. William and Mary Rees, Gower-Rees moved to Llanarth in April 1940. He married Margaret James in 1945. He died in Wenvoe. He was Ordained as a Priest in June 1930, stating his career at St Mary's, Abergavenny.
