Biography
His father Frank John Sutherland had died suddenly at the age of 52 on 25 Jan 1941.
His only sister, Barbara, married George Manson Steven, another Patrol member, on 25 Dec 1941.
On 9 Jun 1953, he married Jemima Smith Allan from Peebles. The couple had one child.
Like other members of the Patrol, he shot with the Pentland Rifle Club.
