George Bain

Trentham Farm’s tenancy had been in the hands of noted judge of sheep, John Keith until 1938. By 1952, J M Cumming was there, and his brother in law, George Bain was living nearby at Fourpenny. His registration card number indicates that George was the senior resident in 1939, suggesting he took on the tenancy for the period of the war.
