Mark Kitchener Wilson

Private Mark Kitchener "Kitch" Wilson
04 Dec 1914 - 11 Nov 1976
Biography

Born in Rusdon as one of 15 children to Mark Wilson and Betsy Ann nee Burton. He was a gardener with his brother-in-law, Leonard Turner, later he worked for British Rail, Hull District at Cottingham.

Kitch had a relationship with Eva Leake of Kilham which produced a daughter in 1934. The Banns for the couple to marry were read in Kilham Church on the 11th, 18th and 25th November, 1934 and the Church records shows that an objection to the marriage was raised on the 28th November, 1934 on the grounds that the intending groom was under age. It is said that his mother, Betsy Ann travelled to Kilham as a pillion passenger on a motor cycle to register this objection.

Married Doris Feirn 1942/3 at Beverley Minster.
