Cliff Banner and his brother Ron owned and ran Kelvin House Nurseries on the Bridgwater Road, the modern day A38. Both were tractor drivers so exempt from call up. In 1950 Cliff took his wife Alice and young family to Sydney, Australia. Ronald followed him in early 1951.
