Biography
Bill Broome had been in the Home Guard at Latchindon with his brother Fred, before they moved to Beeleigh. Here Bill joined the Auxiliary Unit. Fred joined another Patrol.
On 28 Feb 1942 he married Nellie Amy Rice who family lived on the Quay. His brother Fred was best man.
After the war he moved to Brook Cottages, Woodham Mortimer as work took him to a new farm.
